SBB-OFFICINE
2008 the labor force at the SBB-bodyshop (Swiss railways) occupied their shop - and defeated plans to make half the workforce redundant, and split and privatize the factory. The continued existence of the train workshop achieved through the occupation and huge regional support is an outstanding case of successful mobiliziation on the euopean level – and already serves as an exemplary case beyond Switzerland.
